Before exploring photography, Shane graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Arts, double-major in English and Philosophy, using both to argue for human rights into the void of the internet. With existential threats to their mental health, they decided to pursue photography to give the alternative community of Winston-Salem reminders of their own self-made purpose in life.
